Sacrament and Mission
February-May 2020 (15 weeks)
Choose between two sessions:
Daytime (parish office): Wednesdays, 9:30-11:00 a.m. beginning February 12, on all Wednesdays except February 26 and April 8.
Evening (BEHS): Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m. beginning February 13, on all Thursdays except February 27 and April 9.

Another in the Roots of Our Faith series that explores what the sacraments, especially Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, actually do to shape us to be the body of Christ and to engage in his mission in and for the world. Through reflection on our experience and liturgy, the early fathers of the church, and scripture, we will explore the many things the Holy Spirit does through our sacramental worship to prepare us for all God intends for his church.

Made for More: the Class
February 12 - May 13, 2020
Wednesday evenings at Bishop England High School from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
(February 12-May 13 on all Wednesdays except February 26 and April 8).

Following the Made for More event February 6, we will continue with a special class on the Theology of the Body prepared by Christopher West and his team. Don't miss this special opportunity to dig deeper into Pope Saint John Paul II's breathtaking treatment of the beauty and purpose of humankind as God created us.

Thinking about becoming Catholic? Know someone who is? Maybe you were baptized but never received Eucharist or Confirmation? Maybe you are new to the Christian faith and would like to know more. The RCIA Ministry is designed to help answer questions and get people acquainted (or re-acquainted) with God and the Church. There has never been a better time than now to ask how you can become a fully initiated Catholic.

Don’t delay—call (843.471.2677) or email Dr. Chris Diffenderfer, our Director of Faith Formation, today. Take that first step on a journey of a lifetime!

Register now for Baptism preparation
May 17, 24 and 31!
Whether you are first-time parents or have never been formally prepared for the Baptism of your children, you are invited to attend a three week preparation class, with those who will serve as your child's godparents. If you are expecting (or hoping to have children soon), you are welcome and encouraged to participate before the birth of your child. We will hold the three week Baptism preparation several times through the year, starting this September.

The sacrament of Baptism is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation and is the first of the seven sacraments in the Catholic Church. Baptism removes the effects of Original Sin which taints all of humanity by Adam and Eve's sin, and welcomes the recipient into the Church, the Mystical Body of Christ on earth.

For more information about Baptism at Saint Clare of Assisi, or to register for the Baptism preparation classes, please visit our parish web site or email Father West.

If you cannot make this class, look for future opportunities as they are scheduled for the coming year.
