Being the Church: Lumen Gentium Book Study
(Held May 2, 2022 - June 6, 2022)
The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) was a seismic event in the life of the Church, and yet most Catholics have never read the documents the council fathers produced. The council's teachings and reforms are filled with treasures that remain undiscovered for many of us because we have not allowed the documents to speak for themselves.
This year we will begin studying the four major constitutions, starting in May with Lumen Gentium, the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church. In this 6-part book study, we will read and discuss what Mother Church has to say about herself--most importantly, what it means for each of us to "be Church."
