PROGRAM INFORMATION |
|
The Sacrament of Confirmation is the second of the three Sacraments of Initiation. It perfects our Baptism and brings us the graces of the Holy Spirit that were granted to the Apostles on Pentecost Sunday.
There are five ways the Sacrament of Confirmation affects our lives:
|
Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year program.
Year One:
Each student will receive a journal filled with activities, prayers, reflection questions, video links, and more—designed to guide them deeper into their faith before formally beginning Confirmation preparation. This journal immerses students in the liturgical life of the Church and provides opportunities to strengthen their relationship with God within the natural setting of their home and family life.
This first year lays a foundation of strong spiritual habits to prepare students for the second year of Confirmation Prep.
Candidates will participate in Confirmation classes and a retreat designed to foster deeper conversion and openness to the gifts and promptings of the Holy Spirit. After receiving the Sacrament, each candidate is called to continue living as a disciple—an active member of our parish community.
We strongly encourage all those preparing for Confirmation to also participate in EDGE or Life Teen, where they can grow in faith alongside their peers.
