About Confirmation Preparation
Confirmation preparation at Saint Clare of Assisi is a two-year journey that helps students grow in prayer, faith, service, and their relationship with Christ and the Church.
Program Overview
Year One — Grade 7
Confirmation Year One includes large group meetings for students and parents from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in the Bishop England PAC.

Year Two — Grade 8
Confirmation Year Two is required for students in 8th grade in both Catholic and non-Catholic schools. Candidates meet from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the Bishop England PAC unless noted otherwise.

Attendance Requirements
- Non-Catholic school candidates: attend at least 6 of 8 classes.
- Catholic school candidates: attend at least 5 of 8 classes.
- All candidates are encouraged to attend every session to receive the full benefit of formation.
- All students in Sacramental Preparation programs and/or Catholic schools are required to check in at Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation and maintain at least 75% Mass attendance.
Retreat, Service & Testimony
- Confirmation Retreat: Friday, February 27, 2027 — all day
- Small Group Activity: Each candidate, along with their small group, will plan and actively participate in an approved activity.
- Service: Candidates are encouraged to regularly plug into parish ministry or S.O.S. Service On Saturday events.
- Written Testimony: Each candidate will write and present a personal testimony about their relationship with Christ and the Church.

- Confirmation Retreat: Friday, February 27, 2027 — all day
- Confirmation Rehearsal and Holy Hour: Wednesday, May 5, 2027
- Confirmation Mass: Thursday, May 6, 2027
Cost
- Confirmation Year One + EDGE — Grade 7: $100 per student
- Confirmation Year Two + EDGE — Grade 8: $100 per student
- Confirmation Year Two + EDGE Catholic School — Grade 8: $60 per student
- Retreats & Special Events: Prices vary and are paid separately
