FINANCE COUNCIL
In each parish there is to be a finance council which is governed, in addition to universal law, by norms issued by the diocesan bishop and in which the Christian faithful, selected according to these same norms, are to assist the pastor in the administration of the goods of the parish. – Canon 537 of the Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church
The Finance Council crafts and monitors the annual budget, tracks income and expenditures, reviews quarterly reports sent to the Diocese, presents a budget summary to the parish, and supervises the annual audit of the parish accounts. The Finance Council publishes an income and expenditures statement every month in the ebulletin.
The council is comprised of members appointed by the pastor who will serve a three-year term with the possible reappointment to a second three-year term.
Council meetings are open to parishioners. Meeting dates, times and locations are published in the weekly ebulletin and online calendar.
